Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K is a revolution in digital film with a 12,288 x 6480 12K Super 35 sensor and 14 stops of dynamic range, built into the award winning URSA Mini body. The combination of 80 megapixels per frame, new color science and the flexibility of Blackmagic RAW makes working with 12K a reality. Oversampling from 12K gives you the best 8K and 4K images with the subtle skin tones and extraordinary detail of high end still cameras. You can shoot at 60 fps in 12K, 110 fps in 8K and up to 220 fps in 4K Super 16. URSA Mini Pro 12K features an interchangeable PL mount, as well as built in ND filters, dual CFast and UHS-II SD card recorders, a SuperSpeed USB-C expansion port and more. DaVinci Resolve Studio is included for creative control through post from editing to color, VFX and more!

KEY FEATURES

Digital Film, Extreme Resolution

URSA Mini Pro 12K’s extreme resolution goes well beyond traditional motion picture film! You get the benefits of shooting with film including incredible detail, wide dynamic range and rich, deep color. Perfect for feature films, episodic television and immersive, large format IMAX. The incredible definition around objects makes it ideal for working with green screen and VFX including compositing live action and CGI. Super sampling at 12K means you not only get better color and resolution at 8K, but also a smoothness that comes from making aliasing invisible. This new generation of digital film technology ushers in an analog style purity and subtlety to deliver a better than film experience.

Cinematic Super 35 12K Sensor

The Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K features a revolutionary new sensor with a native resolution of 12,288 x 6480, which is an incredible 80 megapixels per frame! The Super 35 sensor has a superb 14 stops of dynamic range and a native ISO of 800. The new 12K sensor has equal amounts of red, green and blue pixels and is optimized for images at multiple resolutions. You can shoot 12K at 60 fps or use in-sensor scaling to allow 8K or 4K RAW at up to 110 fps without cropping or changing your field of view. URSA Mini Pro’s interchangeable lens mount lets you choose from the widest range of vintage and modern cinema lenses, so you can capture every ounce of character and detail from your favorite optics.

Shoot in 12K, Edit on a Laptop

The URSA Mini Pro 12K sensor and Blackmagic RAW were designed together to make 12 bit RAW workflows in 12K effortless. As an incredibly efficient next generation codec Blackmagic RAW lets you shoot 12K and edit on a laptop, a capability that simply isn’t possible with other codecs. The massive resolution of the sensor means you can reframe shots in post for delivery in 8K and 4K. It’s like a multi camera shoot with only one camera. And it’s perfect for great looking vertical and square video, too. The advanced design of the sensor and Blackmagic RAW means that you can work in any resolution in post production instantly, without rendering, while retaining the full sensor’s color accuracy.

Blackmagic RAW Fueled Image Capture

Only Blackmagic RAW makes cinema quality 12-bit, 80 megapixel images at up to 60 frames a reality! Constant quality Q0 and Q5 options and new Q1 and Q3 lock the quality level, allowing compression to adapt, matching the detail of the scene. Constant bitrate encoding options 5:1, 8:1, 12:1 and the new 18:1 are designed to give you the best possible images with predictable and consistent file size. You can record RAW to two cards simultaneously so you can shoot 12K or 8K to either CFast or UHS-II cards, even at high frame rates! Blackmagic RAW stores camera metadata, lens data, white balance, digital slate information and custom LUTs to ensure consistency of image on set and through post production.

Optimized for Fast Flexible Post Production

Shooting RAW in 12K preserves the deepest control of detail, exposure and color during post. Oversampling means you get extremely sharp 8K without harsh edges. Best of all, Blackmagic RAW is designed to accelerate 12K for post production, making it as easy to work with as standard HD or Ultra HD files. It is highly optimized, multi-threaded, works across multiple CPU cores and is also GPU accelerated to work with Apple Metal, CUDA and OpenCL. So you can always work with your camera RAW files without having to make proxies. Blackmagic RAW 12K images provide unprecedented resolution and quality for color, keying, compositing, reframing, stabilization and tracking in 4K or 8K.

Generation 5 Color Science

Blackmagic Generation 5 Color Science features a new film curve designed to make full use of the massive amount of color data from the new URSA Mini Pro 12K sensor. This delivers even better color response for more pleasing skin tones, and better rendering of highly saturated colors such as neon signs and car tail lights in high contrast scenes. Generation 5 Color Science informs complex Blackmagic RAW image processing, with color and dynamic range data from the sensor preserved via metadata for use in post production. Compatible with all previously shot Blackmagic RAW files, Generation 5 Color Science lets you take advantage of the new film curve even with your existing work!

Full Resolution at Higher Frame Rates

URSA Mini Pro 12K is multiple cameras in one, shooting standard resolutions and frame rates in 4K, 8K and even insanely detailed 12K! With a massive 80 megapixels per frame at 60 fps in RAW you can capture perfect stills and motion shots in a single camera at the same time! You can shoot up to 60 fps in 12K 12,288 x 6480 17:9! For higher frame rates, you can shoot 110 fps at 8192 x 4320, 140 fps at 8192 x 3408 and even window the sensor to Super 16 to capture 4K at an incredible 220 fps at 4096 x 2160 DCI! URSA Mini Pro 12K has flexible frame rate and resolution options, and captures with improved motion rendering which means that you get smoother edges in 8K and 4K even at lower frame rates.

High Band Width Recording

URSA Mini Pro is the ultimate high bandwidth recorder with 3 options for recording 12K, which contains almost 10 times the resolution of Ultra HD. You get dual built in CFast and UHS-II SD card recorders, and a SuperSpeed USB-C expansion port for recording to fast SATA and NVMe drives. With "Record RAW on 2 Cards" turned on, URSA Mini Pro 12K can record simultaneously across two cards up to an incredible 900MB/s to 2 CFast cards, or an impressive 500MB/s to 2 UHS-II SD cards. The SuperSpeed USB-C expansion port on the rear can record to USB-C flash storage up to 900MB/s as a third recording option so you won’t be short of choices for capturing stunning 12K up to 60 fps or 8K up to 110 fps!

Easy to Use Blackmagic OS

With advanced Blackmagic OS, you get an intuitive and user friendly camera operating system based on the latest technology. Blackmagic OS is a true modern operating system where all camera features run independently for smoother control, plus the camera powers on virtually instantly. URSA Mini Pro features the same controls and menus as other Blackmagic Design cameras so you can move between cameras on set easily. The interface uses simple tap and swipe gestures to adjust settings, add metadata and view recording status. You also get full control over advanced camera features such as on screen focus and exposure tools, 3D LUTs, HDR, metadata entry, timecode, Blackmagic RAW settings and more!

Revolutionary Lightweight, Portable Design

URSA Mini Pro is designed to include everything you need in a portable camera so you can take it anywhere! The evenly weighted camera body is made from lightweight, robust magnesium alloy. Buttons, switches and dials are laid out in a logical order that makes them easy to find by feel while using the viewfinder. An external backlit LCD status display lets you view critical information. Plus there’s a 4" fold out touchscreen for reviewing shots and accessing the menu settings. You get connections such as 12G-SDI in and out, USB-C, 48 volt phantom power XLR audio, timecode and reference in. The optional Blackmagic Shoulder Mount Kit lets you go from tripod to handheld in seconds!

Interchangeable Lens Mounts

Different projects require different lenses which is why URSA Mini Pro features an interchangeable lens mount. You can quickly switch between PL, EF and F mount lenses on the URSA Mini Pro 12K, as well as B4 lenses on the URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2. That means you can work with high quality large PL cinema lenses, EF or F mount photographic lenses, and even B4 broadcast lenses, making URSA Mini Pro compatible with the widest possible range of professional lenses. Additional PL, EF, F and B4 lens mounts can be purchased separately. With URSA Mini Pro, you get a single camera that works with virtually all professional lenses so you have the freedom to choose the lens you need for any kind of work!

Built in Precision ND Filters

URSA Mini Pro features high quality ND filters that let you quickly reduce the amount of light entering the camera. Designed to match the colorimetry and color science of the camera, the 2, 4 and 6 stop filters provide you with additional latitude even under harsh lighting. The IR filters have been designed to filter both optical wavelengths and IR wavelengths evenly to eliminate IR contamination of the images from which many ND filters can suffer. URSA Mini Pro ND filters are true optical filters with a precision mechanism that quickly moves them into place when the ND filter dial is turned. Filter settings can even be displayed as either an ND number, stop reduction or fraction on the LCD!

USB-C for Direct Recordingto External Disks

Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro features an innovative high speed USB-C Expansion Port. The 4.6K G2 model features USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 which operates at up to 5 Gb/s, while the new 12K model has a USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 for a blistering 10 Gb/s. You can connect and power external flash disks and SSDs or on URSA Mini Pro 12K you can connect the new URSA Mini Recorder for recording to fast NVMe SSD drives for longer recording times. NVMe SSD drives are ideal for shooting 12K in the highest constant quality 12-bit Blackmagic RAW in the Q0 setting or for high frame rates. When shooting is complete you can simply move the external disk to your computer and start editing from the same disk, eliminating file copying!

High Resolution Monitoring and Camera Control

The built in 4 inch fold out touchscreen on URSA Mini Pro is a bright, high resolution color display with a wide viewing angle that makes it perfect for monitoring and reviewing shots on set! The screen can also show you a "heads up display" overlay with critical information such as format, frame rate, iris, timecode, shutter angle, white balance, ISO and more. Plus you get a histogram, card recording status indicators and audio meters! You can show or hide the heads up display by simply swiping up or down. The fold out touchscreen also lets you use the incredible Blackmagic operating software so you get super fast access to every camera function, digital slate for metadata management and more!

Digital Slate for Fast Metadata Entry

URSA Mini Pro features a digital slate so you can quickly add metadata to any shot! Simply swipe left or right on the built in touchscreen to bring up the digital slate. If you start and stop recording the slate can automatically increment the take numbers so you don’t have to enter them manually for each shot! You can also set your reel numbers to increment automatically each time you format a card. Lens metadata is automatically populated or it can be entered manually, along with production specific information, technical information and more! All of the metadata is saved with the files for use in post production when editing and color correcting with software such as DaVinci Resolve!

Full Size, Durable Connections that Work with Standard Cables

MAVO EDGE 6K

MAVO EDGE 6K

by Kinefinity
Ref # KIN101000201

PRODUCT DETAILS:

The MAVO Edge 6K is a powerful new full-frame cinema camera. Equipped with a 6K full-frame 3:2 CMOS imaging sensor capable of shooting in 6K 75fps and 4K 150fps based on the high-performance computing platform of the MAVO Edge, the camera features dual native ISO (800/5120) and excellent highlights under various sensitivity settings. MAVO Edge 6K has an internal motorized full-spectrum e-ND filter(0.6-2.4), and integrates industry-standard ports and dual SSD media slots, capable of recording Apple ProRes4444/XQ and uncompressed RAW onto recording media based on NVMe M.2 2280 SSD. Weighing at only 3.6lbs, this compact and lightweight camera boasts powerful performance and versatility as it adapts to various demanding shooting scenarios. Like other Kinefinity cine cameras, MAVO Edge 6K brings natural color, pleasing skin tones, low noise, high dynamic range, and stunning details in an organic and delicate way.

The MAVO Edge 6K is the latest full-frame camera from Kinefinity since the release of MAVO Edge 8K, and it employs a full-frame 3:2 CMOS imaging sensor that not only shows cleaner images but also provides wider viewing angles, shallower depth of field, and more immersive presence. The advanced color processing architecture from the MAVO Edge platform creates images with low noise, high latitude, and wide color gamut, then brings stunning details, organic images with exceptional quality. In addition, the full-frame 6K CMOS sensor is perfectly paired with OLPF FF3 optical low pass filter that adopts a more complex and higher performance crystal process to“eliminate” aliasing/artifacts while keeping very sharp images.

The MAVO Edge 6K is equipped with dual native ISO, rated at 800 and 5120, as the second native ISO up to 5120 is perfect for low light scenes to obtain a clean image with high latitude and low noise, ideal for documentary filmmakers or those who favor available light during night shoots.

MAVO Edge 6K outperforms its predecessor of MAVO LF a lot when it comes to highlight performance. At the industry standard ISO 800, the default highlight of the Edge 6K is 6.0 stops, capturing more highlight details to get a more cinematic look. Switch to Cine EI mode for more of a traditional cinema camera experience and highlight stops will adjust automatically as the EI changes. While using Cine EI mode, the second base native ISO 5120 is still activated when you go past 1600 EI.

From Apple ProRes422 LT to ProRes4444 XQ and uncompressed RAW codec, the MAVO Edge 6K is capable of recording high-resolution images with high dynamic range and with low to zero compression artifacts.

The MAVO Edge 6K supports 12-bit ProRes4444XQ in full frame rate and resolution, and it records with Kine LOG3 Gamma to preserve all the dynamic range captured by the CMOS imaging sensor.

The MAVO Edge 6K is equipped with a dual SSD slot based on PCIe-3.0 and its recording media, blazing-fast KineMAG Nano 1TB, is based on NVMe M.2 2280 SSD, ensuring storing uncompressed RAW stably and safely.

From capturing image data to color calibrating and tuning during encoding 6K ProRes4444XQ or storing uncompressed RAW to M.2 SSD, all these internal high bandwidth processing happens within the compact and lightweight body of the MAVO Edge 6K, quietly.

The MAVO Edge 6K is implemented with the latest KineOS 7.0 firmware, which has a redesigned user interface, and expected touch and tapping interaction with the camera. The new KineMON-5U2 and 7U2 with touchscreen monitors help to improve the user’s interactive experience and lower the learning curve.

The new interface design allows the user to control the entire functionality of the camera using only the touchscreen monitor.

Frame rate, shutter angle, ISO, aperture, ND strength, color temperature, LUTs, and audio levels can all be adjusted via touchscreen control, making it easy for the cinematographer to set up the parameters quickly.

In addition to the new UI, the MAVO Edge 6K firmware has come with many features. KineOS 7.0 supports Cooke/i protocol which enables the camera to record and save lens metadata into the footage, speeding up VFX workflow. Recording media also supports both NTFS and HFS file systems, for Windows and macOS.

The MAVO Edge 6K will also implement the pre-recording function in an anticipated firmware update. It ensures the cinematographer will not miss any shot during unpredictable scenes, providing a useful solution in live events and documentary works.

MAVO Edge 6K inherits the integrated body design of Kinefinity’s flagship product, MAVO Edge 8K which won the prestigious iF DESIGN AWARD 2021. Its ultra-high strength deformed Aluminum body has superior strength and toughness even at high temperatures to meet a wide range of photographic needs.

The compact camera body of the MAVO Edge 6K only weighs 1.6kg(3.6lbs), and it is equipped with a full-spectrum e-ND filter, dual SDI ports, multiple control ports, and multi-channel audio tracks, as well as powerful wired and wireless functions. The monitoring image from two proprietary video ports is independently displayed from SDI outputs at the rear. The video ports can be connected to the Kinefinity touchscreen monitor and micro-OLED viewfinder.

Kinefinity camera is with a native short flange distance KineMOUNT since KineRAW-S35, the first generation cinema camera released in 2012.

MAVO Edge 6K is using the third-generation KineMOUNT that matches the large-format CMOS image sensor: With an ultra-short FFD and cine style locking method, the KineMOUNT can match richness of mounting adapters such as EF, passive E , PL and the LPL mounts that allows the photography to pair variable lenses with MAVO Edge camera seamlessly and capture with a wide range of lens styles.

Whether small creation or large production can be handled easily with MAVO Edge 6K.

Ref # KINA01000301

PRODUCT DETAILS:

Combining a high-performance processor with the same full-frame 3:2 CMOS image sensor found in the MAVO Edge 6K, the MAVO mark2 6K LF Digital Cinema Camera from Kinefinity offers high 6K frame rates up to 96 fps, detailed highlights, organic images, and outstanding low-light performance with dual native 800/5120 ISOs. Use the included, adaptable KineMOUNT and separately available adapters to provide compatibility with EF, PL, and LPL mounts and Kinefinity's new active PL and Sony E-mount adapters.

MAVO mark2 adopts the MAVO Edge high-performance computing platform, integrates industry standard ports like independent dual SDI outputs with meta data and encodes stunning images as Apple ProRes4444/XQ footage onto NVMe M.2 2280 SSD. Coming in the lightweight compact camera body with the streamlined workflow, MAVO mark2 S35 and MAVO mark2 LF provide more cinematographers with a professional and efficient filmmaking experience at a more affordable price.

Back to classic S35 image format, MAVO mark2 S35 is designed to cater to use S35 glass, widely available, more styles even more affordable than full frame counterparts.

Building on the advanced computing platform, the new camera configures a new S35 3:2 CMOS imaging sensor which allows users to capture up to 6K Wide 96fps, 4K Wide 150fps. The new sensor also features dual native ISO 800/3200 like MAVO Edge 8K, that means the images from the new camera much less noise than previous generation. MAVO mark2 S35 with new S35 sensor on advanced platform offers cleaner shadows, better highlight details, wide latitude to 14 stops and higher frame rate no matter low light conditions or studio shooting.

The MAVO mark2 LF continues to feature the remarkable 6K full frame 3:2 CMOS imaging sensor from the popular MAVO Edge 6K, maintaining high frame rate of up to 75fps at 6K Wide, 150fps at 4K Wide and amazing dual native ISO 5120/800. The industry-standard ISO 800 is regular for shooting in normal light scenes, while the second native ISO up to 5120 is perfect for low light scenes to obtain a clean image with high latitude and low noise, ideal for documentary filmmakers or those who favor available light during night shoots. Compared to MAVO LF, MAVO mark2 is capable to retain more highlight details, ideal for shooting in complex lighting environments, presenting organic images and cinematic look.
